M.D. Wodnick
Painter, conservator, gilder-craftsman. Being a conservator of fine art has given me a unique insight to many aspects of painting, both abstract and representational, from the naive to works that adorn museum walls. As a painter the underlying abstract shapes and compositional elements of line, mass, color etc. are what intrigue me the most. By repetition and variation of these elements, I strive to engage the viewer and myself. I hand-carve and gild many of the frames with a specific painting in mind. I have shown locally and nationally. Winning a number of awards. My paintings are in numerous private collections.
