Peter Bougie
Peter Bougie is a Guild member of the American society of Classical Realism. He specializes in landscape and figurative works. Bougie has shown at many group exhibitions around the country, including a Minnesota landscape show in the Cannon Rotunda of the US House of Representatives, the American Artist's Professional League at the Salmagundi Club in New York, the West Bank Artist's Guild of New Orleans, the Oil Painters of America Premier National Exhibition in Chicago, and "The Legacy Lives" exhibit in Manhattan, among others. In August 1990, his painting titled, "Four Oaks" was named a winner in a competition sponsored by American Artist magazine and was published in that month's issue. In 1994 he was featured in The Classical Realism Journal. In 1997 he became the journal's editor. Bougie is a 1987 graduate of the Atelier Lack, Minneapolis, where he studied for four years. Bougie taught anatomy at Atelier Lack, landscape painting at Atelier LeSeuer in Excelsior and figure drawing at the Center for Arts Education in Golden Valley.
